Socks is unbelievably photogenic, even with that horrific muzzle on. He didn’t seem to mind it too much, did he? And yes, that ball can be clearly seen from outer space! Excellent choice!
Hi Mona. I did a really good job muzzle training with him so he handles it ok... but... it's annoying to him, that's for sure. But besides whacking me on the leg with it, he doesn't complain much... and yes, now my city's google earth satellite image shows our city, because you can see that crazy ball! He loves it so much though... I am going to post a video of him playing with it later.
Socks is clearly saying, with his lovely long nose encased in a wire basket muzzle, "Well, if you really, truly think this is a good idea..." Nice pictures, and what a lucky, lovely dog..
I am still in mourning over the end of Ted Lasso after all these years. 😭 Whatever happened to the chatter about the fourth season resurrection? Still waiting…zzz……
Socks is one gorgeous dog. I see the family lineage❣️
Hi WildFlower! Welcome to my weird little dog substack. I am actually Sandolore in disguise (in case that’s not obvious). Good to have friends from the other planet here, ha!
Yay! I am actually having lots of fun here, it's a totally different vibe than over there in artworld. I've been talking to the loveliest people, and have lots of silly fun with my photos and photoshopping...
1. The muzzle is way better than racing muzzles for greyhounds. Yours looks lighter weight and better breathing. And easier to keep clean
2. I love these pictures and your humor.
3. It’s one of those days in bizzarro America. Today I was reminded once more there are no more good days with Social Security.
4. My son is quitting smoking today and slipped 3 times. He feels his life is over bc he feels he should be perfect at this. Oy. No amount of telling him it’s ok did any good.
5. Now I want to run and scream. I have arthritis - I’m not running anywhere. If I hurt myself I may not have insurance to go get fixed up
6. So seeing Socks really cheered me up. I’m glad he’s feeling back to normal. Sorry Eric’s was weird for him. He feels vibes no one else can.
Hi Ann. I love this comment. Thank you... Good luck for your son, it is a hard thing to quit! I think you should find an alternative to running for the desire to... is there something physical you can do that won't hurt? Pinky pushups? Teeth grinding (not recommended)... journal ranting? I am glad we cheer you up... that's what we are here for!
I love the pics of Socks enjoying his day-glo ball in the lovely French garden. You certainly won’t lose sight of that ball!
Saturday I had my volunteer shift at my local library then went on a hike with my daughter at a nearby state park. Yesterday I took my mom to a small craft fair and finished reading a book. It was lovely and sunny all weekend without being too hot. It was gorgeous.
We had a blissful Saturday and Sunday with no commitments. Puttered around in the garden and the house. We started to watch Ted Lasso. If there’s anyone else on planet earth who hasn’t seen it, we highly recommend. It’s the perfect antidote for these worrying times.
Ted Lasso warms my heart like a toasty ol tea cozy. I am glad you are watching it. It's so terribly funny and may just help you regain your trust in humanity.
Socks is gorgeous and that ball, oh my, it's bright!
It's insane actually, we were just playing with it and it is almost blinding!

His vengeance is to whack me with his wire basket from time to time. Take that!
Lovely! :-) !!
Looks like you both had a good weekend!
Very mellow, very nice...
I love Socks! This brings me a lot of comfort after saying goodbye to my Good Girl last week ❤️
I hope that Socks brings you a huge white cloud of comfort. It is so hard losing them!

Socks is awesome, just like his name!!

Pet/animal people are the best!!
The light, the light! Beautiful pictures.
I know, right, Nancy? I think that’s one of my favorite parts about “Charente”.

You’re good company. Love to you and yours. Thank you for the joy you bring.
I think that’s the best compliment I’ve gotten all year! Thank you!
You are very welcome!

That kinda sounds like a perfect weekend, Renee!
Handsome lad 😊
A trip to Bordeaux sounds very exciting!

Perfect analogy Cindy!
